random dinner on wednesday
We just tried this Japanese restaurant in Vivo City, Shin kushiya.
Let's start with the appetizers, flamed salmon salad. Fish is my favorite dish for my meal. For lunch or dinner, I'd still prefer fish for my main course rather than meat. It doesn't mean that I don't like meat at all, but I'd still prefer fish. I love the fishy smell :)
The freshness of the veggies was just okay, but I love how they served the salmon. It's chewy yet not too raw.
We also tried their spicy salmon maki. It was nice :)
Other than that, Erick also ordered pork neck kushiyaki.
Bon Appetite!

Splendid Saturday :)
It is Saturday!! The best day of the week. :)
When it comes to Saturday, what I usually do is having a lunch date with Erick, going shopping for a while, then get a pair of ticket to watch a movie. Vivo city is one of our favorite place to go on weekend, because it is not too crowded yet the retail stores there are not bad compared to Orchard. I don't really like to go to Orchard on weekends because it is too crowded there.
Today, we decided to have lunch at Bakerzin in Vivo City.
These are what we had for our lunch :
That's my fave pasta, Mushroom Aglio Olio :)
I love how they cook the pasta; the smell of the garlic and the chewiness of the mushroom.
That's Erick order. He ordered baked bratwurst with roasted potato. I'd say the taste of the bratwurst was just okay, but the roasted potato was very yummy!!
Last but not least, this is Bakerzin's warm chocolate cake. A very wonderful dessert to satisfy my craving! I love the warm melted chocolate inside with their cool vanilla ice cream :)
After having lunch, we found that there is a Thailand fashion designer's fair in Vivo City's atrium. I took a peek of their dresses and tops. I would say that the designs were very nice, the pricing was not cheap, but not too expensive as well.
I was walking beside a fitting room where a girl was trying on a lace dress with pearl, the dress was very elegant. I went to the shop which sell that girl's dress, then I found this dress. It was the same dress, but the fabric is different. The dress costs $69, so I'd say the price was okay for a handmade dress. I tried it on, and I fell in love with it. So, I decided to buy it :) yay!
I love the pearls they knitted on the neck, it makes the dress look simple yet elegant. I have no regret buying this dress hehe.
Later on, we watched A team. At first I thought it was going to be boring, but at the end I was entertained with their action comedy. Liam Neeson was freakin haaawwwtttt =D
It was indeed a very splendid saturday!!
have a great weekend everyone!
xoxo,
Meryl

What did you do on your weekend?
This has been a wonderful week with surprises and happy thoughts!
Last Friday, I went to Chinatown to have a plate of fried Hongkong noodle at Smiths Street, and the taste was okay but I'm satisfied ;), after that we went to Orchard to watch Sex and the City 2, we didn't get the tickets because it was fully booked until 12midnight, then me and Erick decided to take a walk in 313. I found this GG>5 top that was on sale, I tried it on and it suited me quite well, I grabbed it :)
That's me wearing my new GG>5 blouse :)
Then on Saturday, me and Erick were craving for some Indonesian food, mie ayam. There are lots of Indonesian food restaurants in Singapore, but very few of them sell mie ayam and martabak manis. One of the stalls that sells mie ayam is Jtown cafe in Somerset. Then we decided to go there and have lunch there.
I really love martabak, and it is quite difficult to find any stalls selling Indonesian pancake in Singapore. Other than Jtown, there is a stall in Lau Pa Sat which also sells martabak manis; unfortunately I have never tasted theirs because of their opening hours. They only open until 3pm I guess.
Jtown's mie ayam
Oohh.. I know that martabak is so fattening, but sometimes I really cant resist to grab em! =p
The price was okay,
a bowl of mie ayam cost us $4.30, and the martabak was $3.50. It is not easy to find any restaurant that could sell a bowl of noodle under $5 in Orchard area =)
We'll definitely go back there if I'm craving for martabak!
Later on, we decided to go to GV Tiong Bahru to watch Sex and The City 2 because it is impossible to get a ticket on weekend in Orchard area, Vivo City or even Great World City.
Well, I won't say that the movie was awesome, but it was truly addictive! Especially to see those gorgeous dresses and bags, haha It was simply addictive. =)
Well, I must say that this was a great weekend and I really enjoy it!!

Have you thank God today?
Hello guys, it's been a wonderful Friday for me. =)
It is such a pleasant day for me, I really should thank the Lord for answering my prayers. I've been praying for this for a few months, and now my prayer has been answered.
It has been a quite tough month for me as I kept on thinking on this problem; but my mom has kept on saying that for whatever problems or thoughts you can't handle, the only thing you can do is pray. I do believe in power of prayer because all my life I've been looking my mom holding her rosary and pray to God. Thank You God I have such a wonderful family that teach me on how to surrender everything to God.
God, I thank You that You've answered my prayer. Amen.
Good night everybody.

What to do?
This week I am having a week break from school. But that doesn't mean that I have nothing to do. I have LOTS of things to finish. I had tutorialsssss to catch on, I have exams approaching in a month time. Geez.
I remembered during my highschool time, I have never studied for my exams a month before, but now.. errr... Well even if you study a month before, it won't guarantee that you will get distinction.
I really have to focus my mind to study, otherwise.. my results won't turned out to be good.
