This is Why I Love Mr Sandler's Movie

Hey guys,
What is your favorite movie? :)

Let me share about my favorite movie.
I'm not a movie addict person, but most of favorite movies are more to romantic comedy or any movie that lures me with its beautiful scenery. Here are some of my favorite movies of all time: A Walk to Remember, Chasing Liberty, The Phantom of the Opera, Mr Deeds and 50 first dates.

Adam Sandler is one of my favorite actor. Well he is certainly not the most handsome actor, but I like his character whenever he act in the movies, I love his innocent expression and the way he speaks. Adam's movies are not only comedies, but the movies also have beautiful meaning inside.

The first time I fell in love with his movie was because of 50 first dates. The idea behind the movie is amazing, it is funny and yet truly romantic.
After watching this movie, I began to look for Sandler's other movies. Out of Happy Madison's 25 movies, I've watched 17 movies. :)
The reason why I fell in love with his movies is that he always added "family factor" inside the movie. He often emphasize the importance of friendship, family and love. Although some of his movies are a little bit racist, he can always bring up jokes that don't hurt that particular races. Moreover, the ending of the movies always have a beautiful meaning.

Here are some of my favorite movies which acted by Adam Sandler:

Have a great weekend guys!

Hubalicious with Chef Bobby Chinn :)

Hello guys,

I'm so happy that I have the opportunity to meet celebrity chef Bobby Chinn. Usually, I only watch him cooking in Discovery Travel and Adventure Channel. I like the way he cooks on TV, he is unique because while cooking, he loves to tell jokes and funny stuffs. It is such a rare moment that I got a chance to meet him in person.

Here are some photos taken during the event:

In the event, Bobby prepared an appetizer for the audience. It was a middle east appetizer. The taste was very unique, I have never tasted such appetizer before. The appetizer was made from pomegranate, eggplant and walnut. It was soft, creamy and yet crunchy at the same time.
Other than the appetizer, the other dishes were prepared by the hotel's chef.

The main dish was grilled lamb with Egyptian herb. The Egyptian herb tasted like briyani.

Finally, this was the dessert:

After having 3 course dinner, we got the chance to take a picture with Bobby and also took an autograph of him :)

It was a very pleasurable moment to meet him in person. He was funny, lively and such a great chef indeed :)

Bali Trip

Last week I went to Bali with Erick and his family.
It was a short holiday but it was fun ;)

Here are some photos on our trip:

We went to Taman Safari in Bali. At first, I didn't expect the Safari would be that good. I have to say that the zoo was one of the best zoos that I've been. The ambiance was nice, the animals are more complete than in Taman Safari Cisarua. I have to say that the zoo is very well maintained. It is clean, green, and it is nicely decorated.

We took a picture with this little white tiger.

Have you guys ever heard of this very famous Ibu Oka's Babi Guling (Suckling Pig) ? Suckling Pig is a famous traditional balinese food.
Since I'm not a big fam of pork,I have never tried babi guling before. We decided to try this famous babi guling in Ubud.

Personally, I don't think that babi guling is that nice. For me, it was too oily and smelly. It is funny that this Babi guling tasted like chicken. I don't know how they prepared the dishes because I can't barely see the difference between chicken meat and pork in this babi guling.

We also went to this stunningly beautiful Tanah Lot Temple. The scenery was super breathtaking! =)

Well, that's all about my short trip to Bali. =)
It might be short, but I went to two new places that I've never been before; Bali Safari and Babi Guling Ibu Oka. Thus, I'm happy :)

good night guys

Welcoming the FINAL semester!!!

Well, its the mid of August.. which means that my final term will start REAL soon! I'm in the middle of excitement and horror. I am excited because in less than 4 month I will finish my study, however I'm also scared of my Final Year Project.

Currently I'm reading on some journals and I should decide on the topics which I'll be doing for the project. I'm confused on whether I should choose International Business Strategy or Human Resource Management. Hmm.. well let's see which one will I take eventually.

Tomorrow would be another FUN day because I'll be having a special dinner invitation tomorrow. I'm so excited with the dinner :)

Jouir!

Happy Birthday Singapore!

It is been approximately three years since the first time I stepped into Singapore as a student.
There have been many experiences I had, from school, friends, organizations, projects. Within these three years, I've learned many things which I can't mention in details here. However, I am very glad that I am given a chance to feel and experience many new things here.

Singapore has been a second home for me.
Despite its 3 "KS" culture (Kiasu, Kiasi, Kiam siap), Singapore is a very good country. I like how people with different culture, race and religion live in harmony. I love how the government rules this little country into such a developed country with high GDP and high economy growth rates.

Well, sometimes I may get homesick thinking the warmth of family and friends back in Jakarta. However, whenever I'm in Jakarta, I always feel like going back to Singapore where I can live freely and where I have lots of things to do.

Anyway, I would like to wish a very happy birthday to Singapore, my beloved second home :)

Hello!!
After writing a short birthday wishes to Singapore, now I'd like to blog about my weekend activities :)

Today is Singapore's national day and I have no plan on what I should be doing today. Because of that, I thought "why don't I try the famous P.S cafe dessert?"
Previously, I was about to go to P.S cafe in Palais. But the weather is very hot for me to walk there from Somerset, then I choose to go to P.S cafe in Paragon since it is very near to Somerset.

P.S cafe in Paragon doesn't have too many desserts compared to P.S cafe in Harding and Palais. However, they still carry their renowned steamed pudding. Thus, I choose their famous sticky date pudding.

Sticky Date Pudding

The cake tastes like banana cake. The cake was lovely! It is not that sweet so it wouldn't make you feel bloated. The best part of the pudding was the toffee sauce. The aroma was sweet and really appetizing. The cake was served with vanilla ice cream, so you can feel the contrast between the warmth of the pudding and the coolness of the ice cream :) nyum!!

That's me ready to taste the sticky date pudding :)

For my outfit, I choose something different today. I rarely wear long skirt nowadays, but after searching on what to wear. I found this Korean long skirt bought by my friend when she visited Singapore back in 2 years. I have never used this skirt before since I had no idea how to match it with my top. But today, I'm wearing it with my old brown lycra t-shirt. It is casual and comfortable to wear in anytime of the day.

Thanks Jeje for the Skirt :)

Once again, I'd like to say Happy Birthday Singapore!

Red is the color of our heart

our first Polaroid photo. I love how we coincidentally wear red on the same time and get a chance to take a polaroid picture :)
