a weekend of surprise?

Hi guys,

I'm glad to say that finally my exams are over! :)

This weekend, I tried a new restaurant in triple one somerset, Applebees.
Applebees are famous casual dining restaurants in USA, but they are new in Singapore. Having heard of their popularity in the U.S, I decided to come over and tried it.

The restaurant's ambiance is nice and relaxing.

We ordered 3 dishes there; grilled shrimp salad, baby back ribs and their famous dessert; Maple Butter Blondie.

Their grilled shrimp salad is unique, I love the taste of the shrimp. The veggies were very fresh and crispy. Unfortunately they were only giving 5 small shrimps on each salad. But anyway, their salad is worth trying :)

Their baby back bone ribs is just okay. Well, I won't say it is bad, but I would still prefer Cafe Cartel's pork ribs. Their portion is not small and not that big as well, it was just nice.

Finally, this is my favorite order for the visit. Their maple butter Blondie was tantalizing! I love how they serve it on a hot plate and the contrast of the warmth of the cake and the coolness of the ice cream. The portion of the cake was HUGE! I bet you all can't finish it by yourself. The portion of the cake will be just nice for 3-4 people. In the end, I can't finish the cake and decided to take away. :)

Afterall, this weekend was wonderful. Not just because of the Applebees lunch, but because of some good news that I got :) Well, I won't spill the news in my blog, but It's just so fun to tell everybody that this weekend is full of surprise for me! What can I expect more..? Thanks God for that..!

Quickie Post

Hey all,
This would be just a quick post on my visit to Max Brenner in Vivo City within this month.

Pardon me for posting such a tempting pictures =p HAHAHA

I went to try Max Brenner in Vivo City for the first time with my brother. He is truly a chocolate addict and so do I. These two pictures are max brenner's hazelnut crepe and max brenner's chocolate fudge cake. Both are so yummy and addictive. Max Brenner's chocolate is simply awesome! =)

I ordered this tutti fruity waffle when I went there for the second time with Erick. It was so crowded there that we needed to wait 40 minutes until the waffles were served. But I think the wait was so worthed, the waffles are better than the crepe that I had last time.

In terms of price, I'd say that Max Brenner is quite pricey. A plate of crepe/waffle would cost about $16-17. However, for those of you who are addicted to chocolate, you simple have to come and try! I'll definitely come back again.

ciaoo!!

xoxo
